This first one is by far my favorite. It is a blog entry from a family that visited me at one of the restaurants I work at. The reason it's my favorite is that I didn't even know about it until several months had passed since it was written. In the process of building this website I "googled" my name to see where/how many times "Dr. B.A.Loonatic" appeared in/on websites and web pages. I stumbled upon this blog somewhere on page 3.

Sunday, August 27, 2006 Dr.B.A. Loonatic Last night we were pretending that it was my birthday -this is Emily's version of the evening-and we went Chili's for dinner. Actually, I had gotten a gift card from Candi's parents for my birthday. As we were getting out of the car I saw a guy walking towards the restaurant that had a doctor's lab coat on and a HUGE apron full of balloons. We had come to this Chili's before, and they have had a balloon guy making animals and stuff, but we didn't have the kids with us, so we didn't see what he could do. Anyway, his name is Dr. B. A. Loonatic, and when he got to our table, he asked the kids if they wanted an animal, and of course they said yes. Emily wasn't sure what she wanted, so he offered to make something that would surprise her, and she agreed. Now we've all seen balloon animals before, but this guy did some amazing stuff. He ended up making an balloon Ariel, as you can see below. I assume he chose to do Ariel because of Emily's red hair. He finished it off with the seashells, and this question: "Why do mermaids wear seashells? Because D shells are too big." Feel free to laugh, share it with your friends, use it in one of those mass e-mails that tries to guilt people into forwarding it to there friends by promising good luck or saying that if you erase the message then that must mean you don't believe in family values. If any of have not receieved any of these e-mails, just let me know, I got a ton that I haven't gotten around to erasing yet. Anyway, so then the guy asks Campbell what he wants, and Campbell says "A dog." Of all the million things that this guy makes, and Campbell wants a dog. I proceeded to ask the good doctor to make me a snake. He ended up making Blue of Blue's Clues fame, so it wasn't just any dog. Probably the funniest thing about the whole situation was how Jonah freaked out every time the guy blew up a baloon. I ended up having to take him to the waiting area to keep him from crying. Needless to say, I was pretty impressed with the guy. And I think you should hire him for all of your festival type activities. Balloons! Just what the doctor ordered. Well Dr. B.A. Loonatic that is. What a treat for the children of your community (not to mention the adults). DR. B.A.Loonatic provides family entertainment and a great reward for the children; he specializes in child parties, balloons and magic. What a great activity to have at your next Kids Club. Someone that will not only make great animal and character balloons for the kids (and yes, the adults get one too) but he actually teaches and interacts with the children in learning how to make the balloon animals and all their favorite characters. DR. B. A. Loonatic would be great for all parties (children and adult) excellent variety of entertainment (comedy, balloons & magic with audience participation) for upcoming holiday parties at a price within your budget. My personal testimonial. I managed a property of 352 units. I had several three bedrooms units on the property, which meant a lot of families with children. They were out of control. I had exhausted every avenue of keeping this community clean and it was very clean, immaculate in fact. Until of course 3pm rolled around and the school bus let out. Then of course came the weekend. UGH! Monday mornings, the entire crew would be on grounds patrol for more than half the day, that’s how out of control this situation was. My team and I decided to implement a Kids Club with tons of activities planned, there was one condition, if they were seen throwing trash or not picking up after themselves, they could not attend the Wednesday afternoon activities or weekend activities. Each week in Kids Club they were told that at the end of the year there would be a big huge party with a special guest if they helped us keep the community clean. They all agreed, in fact once a month they would spend the entire Kids Club afternoon picking up trash throughout the community. All this work for a year-end party. They earned it hands down. Their special guest…Dr. B.A. Loonatic. This had to be the biggest turn out we had all year. We had trouble fitting everyone in the clubhouse. The reason for the turn out is the kids worked towards this all year and begged their parents to attend. There was not a frown in the place. The entire group of residents to include parents and children were laughing and applauding throughout the entire hour he performed. No one wanted him to go away. From that event many parents booked Dr. B.A. Loonatic for birthday parties, Halloween parties, company picnic parties. I personally have watched his performance several times since and I am always the one fighting to sit in the front row. Check out his website and reward the children of your community.

I received this one via email, from a gentleman who saw me at Jeff McBride's Wonderground at the Palace Station in Las Vegas! I am one of two "House Balloon Artists". We make BIG sculptures as Performance Art with people watching the entire process! Here is the text of the email:
