Reservation and Cancellation Policies

What is a Reservation Fee?


Party Entertainment Services:


Dr. Balloonatic requires a Reservation Fee of $50 (or 50% if your total party fee meets or exceeds $200).  The Reservation Fee is required to secure a date and time for Dr. Balloonatic to perform at your party or function, and is NOT in addition to your overall payment.  Besides the reservation itself, it also covers things such as materials/supplies purchased specifically for your event, and also helps pay for the hours spent preparing for the event and making the "extra" surprise balloon sculpture (or sculptures) for the Guest(s) of Honor prior to the event.  Once a Reservation Fee is paid, it guarantees that Dr. B.A.Loonatic will not book another client on the date and time specified for your event, and the remaining balance is due the day of the event for services totalling $500 or less, and within one week prior to the party or event for services where the total exceeds $500.


Balloon Decor Services:


Dr. Balloonatic requires a deposit of at least 50% of your total payment in order to book your event decor. This money is used to purchase materials and supplies specific to your event. Many materials cannot be returned, especially in the case of custom-made one of a kind decor frames, artwork, etc. In the event of cancellation, any money from your deposit that has not already been spent on materials or custom-made designs will be returned according to the same guidelines outlined below for the party entertainment services Reservation Fee.

 

Verbal Reservations made over the telephone are temporary. They are held valid for 3 business days, unless otherwise agreed upon at the time of the call.  If the Reservation Fee is not paid within 3 days of a Verbal Reservation, that reservation is considered "Canceled" and Dr. Ballooonatic will accept other customer's reservations for that date.

 

If you make a reservation, then cancel your event on short notice, that would result in lost work (and the revenue generated from that work) that I may have turned down because of your reservation for the same date/time.  Please see my Cancellation Policy below for more information.


 

My Cancellation Policy:

I sincerely hope it never becomes necessary to cancel, but no one can forsee the future.  If you find that you need to cancel a party that has already been booked, this is my policy regarding cancellations.


2 weeks or more - 100% Refund MINUS any money spent on materials or supplies that cannot be returned to the supplier.  Receipts showing how much money was spent will be provided, and, the product itself will be turned over to the client in the event of a cancellation within this time period.

If you cancel up to 2 weeks (14 days or more) prior to your event, your Reservation Fee (MINUS any money spent on materials or supplies specific to your party) will be 100% refunded (along with the materials or supplies purchased specifically for your party) by company check via First Class Mail within one week of cancellation, or via PayPal within 2 business days of cancellation.  *If you need to reschedule instead of cancellation within this time period, there is no re-scheduling fee.  Your original Reservation Fee is sufficient but the date is subject to my availability.  If a suitable rescheduling date cannot be found because I am booked, you will be refunded 100% of your Reservation Fee as described above.

 

1-2 weeks - 50% Refund MINUS any money spent on supplies/materials specfic to your event that cannot be returned to the supplier.  Receipts showing how much money was spent will be provided, and, the product itself will be turned over to the client in the event of a cancellation within this time period.

If you cancel between 1 and 2 weeks (7-13 days) prior to your event, your Reservation Fee (MINUS any money spent on materials or supplies specific to your party) will be 50% refunded (along with the materials or supplies specific to your party) by company check via First Class Mail within one week of cancellation, or via PayPal within 2 business days of cancellation.  *If you need to reschedule instead of cancellation within this time period, there is no re-scheduling fee.  Your original Reservation Fee is sufficient but the date is subject to my availability.  If a suitable re-scheduling date cannot be found because I am booked, you will be refunded 50% of your original Reservation Fee as described above.

 

5 or 6 days - 25% Refund

If you cancel 5 or 6 days prior to your event, your Reservation Fee will be 25% refunded by company check via First Class Mail within one week of cancellation, or via PayPal within 2 business days of cancellation.  If you wish to pay for any custom materials or supplies already purchased specifis to your event, they will be turned over to you at that time.  *If you need to reschedule instead of cancellation within this time period, there is no re-scheduling fee but the date is subject to my availability.  If a suitable re-scheduling date cannot be found because I am booked, you will be refunded 25% of your original Reservation Fee as described above.

 

4 days or less - NO REFUND

If you cancel 4 days or less before the date of your party or event, there is no refund of your Reservation Fee.  *If you need to reschedule the event instead of cancellation within this time period, there is a $20.00 Rescheduling Fee assuming that a suitable rescheduling date can be found.  Both the Rescheduling Fee, and your original Reservation Fee are non-refundable within this time frame.

 

Please remember that this policy applies to Reservation and Rescheduling Fees only.  If you prepay for an event that you need to cancel, you will be refunded any balance over and above the Reservation Fee that has already been paid, as outlined by my Reservation Policy at the top of this page.
